A Post About Random Goodness

Last night was so amazing. Let me tell you why...

Last night the Mr and I, along with youth leaders and church family, launched our student ministry SPARK! For a little less than a year, we've been growing this ministry; taking it from small groups, which at first meant three students in a living room with a bunch of leaders, to 93 at last night's Launch Service. God is amazing. When I try and understand incredible things like that and how they possibly could've happened, and how I actually get to take part in, I'm just blown away at how good God is. We couldn't have done it without Him, without Elisha's obedience and willingness to do whatever it took, without  the time, energy and constant devotion from our leaders, or without the constant prayers of every one of our leaders and church family. I'm just so grateful. What takes my awe of God to a whole other level is that I know that I know, that this was just the beginning. We're only getting started.

I got home after the long and glorious night of wonderfulness only to find that I could not sleep. like for the life of me it just was not happening. So I did what any sane person would do; I sat up in my bad, grabbed my laptop and started to work on a design project. I designed and designed until I finished an entire new layout, for the most darling girl ever, at about 6am. I was so proud of my work though. The kind of proud where you step back and say, "yeah, I did that!" knowing how many hours you put in, how much sleep you lost and how it's all worth it because somehow you brought to life a look, an idea, a brand, that once did not exist, but now does. If you'd like to see the full design or you're in need of some yummy recipes, hop on over to Whipped!

This was not last night, but it's still something I'd like to share. As I've stated previously, I have pretty insanely talented friends. They're so talented and that a few of them decided to go and make an album. They're cool like that. They're called Animal Family Singers and they're pretty great. They just released their album and it can be found on iTunes, so yeah... go give it a listen!

That's my random post of fun and exciting news and stories. Keep in mind I'm running on four hours of sleep and my brain usually requires eight to function properly; so I guess I'm at 50% batter life right now. OH before I forget, have you taken a look at the lovely new faces on the left sidebar?? You should! They are pretty faces and they have lovely blogs/stores. Won't you go say hi to them?

oh you know...

Sometimes I don't feel like writing out the perfect post. Sometimes I just want to write how I think... So for your viewing pleasure, this is what my thoughts sound like...

* I really can't wait to see the Hunger Games movie!!!!
* I really need to finish the third book. I know what you're thinking, weren't you reading those like two months ago?? Does it take you that long to read?! The answer is no, I could've finished it long ago, but alas I have chosen not to. I think I've shared this before, but I don't want to say goodbye to the story or the characters quite yet. Once I finish the book it's all over and they will cease to exist to me. womp womp. Or at least til the movies come out.
* I got tickets to Fort Worth Opera in May from the Mr! He is the best.
* I really can't believe we've been dating for seven years. Sometimes I forget that that's not normal.
* I really like the song "Somebody That I Used to Know" (it's playing)
* I have a prospective job and I reeeeeallyyyyy hope it works out. It was kind of made for me.
* I signed up for my very first craft fair!! I'll have a booth at the Walk the Light Festival in Cedar Hill, TX on March 24th -- in case you're in the area... drop by!
* I've been dreaming up booth designs all day long. I cannot stop.
* Why does it always have to rain on the days when I want to be most productive??
* Why is winter juuust now hitting Texas??
* I feel really lucky to have found a church that truly cares about people.
* I think my boyfriend is so talented. I wish I could say it everyday, but people get annoyed by that stuff.
* I'm happy with my life. Inspite of imperfections, it's so much cooler that I thought it would be.
* I don't like the Pinterest-pandemic.
* I have not pinned in a very very long time.
* I don't like creating something and having someone ask me if I got the idea from Pinterest. No I did not, it came from my very own brain.
* That probably sounded mean. I like people being inspired; I just like when people have their own ideas too^_^
* I've been so inspired as of late.
* I want to redesign the blog. Are you all tired of how much I change things here?? sorries.
* I have to get ready for our youth small group now. Have a sweet Sunday friends!!

Regional Dialect

So I thought it would be fun if we tried out this Regional Dialect thing that a lot of bloggers have been doing. It's something fun and different to see how we talk and say certain words. Fun!

{I fidget a lot; sorry. And I'm really bothered that the video doesn't have a proper name;sorry.}

Say these words:
Aunt, Route, Wash, Oil, Theater, Iron, Salmon, Caramel, Fire, Water, Sure, Data, Ruin, Crayon, Toilet, New Orleans, Pecan, Both, Again, Probably, Spitting image, Alabama, Lawyer, Coupon, Mayonnaise, Syrup, Pajamas, Caught

Answer these questions:
* What is it called when you throw toilet paper on a house?
* What is the bug that when you touch it, it curls into a ball?
* What is the bubbly carbonated drink called?
* What do you call gym shoes?
* What do you say to address a group of people?
* What do you call the kind of spider that has an oval-shaped body and extremely long legs?
* What do you call your grandparents?
* What do you call the wheeled contraption in which you carry groceries at the supermarket?
* What do you call it when rain falls while the sun is shining?
* What is the thing you change the TV channel with?

That was fun, yeah?? So what do you think, do I say anything funny? haha.
